This sets the sentence length, the vocabulary and how many pages the book runs to.

Between 2 and 4 things. Dinosaurs, the number seven, next door's cat — specific beats sensible.
04What should the story be about?
Pick the thing tonight needs. Every one of these ends somewhere calm.
05How should it look?
Eight house styles. We draw in our own styles and never imitate a named living artist.
06What does the hero look like?
