This agreement
This agreement is between you and the operator of zinedineguillodo.shop (“Talewick”, “we”, “us”). It covers the website, the story maker and every storybook made through it. Our privacy policy, acceptable use policy, subscription terms and refund policy form part of it.
Our only contact channel is support@zinedineguillodo.shop, and it reaches a person.
Who may use the service
You must be 18 or over to use this service. It is designed for parents, guardians, relatives and family friends who want to make a book for a child. It is not designed for, or directed at, children.
When you make a book about a child you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, or that you have their parent or guardian's permission to use the child's first name in this way.
What the service does
You provide a first name, an age band, a few things the child likes, a theme, an art style and a written description of the hero. We use AI to write story text and to generate illustrations, and we typeset the text over the illustrations to produce a storybook of 8 to 12 pages. You can read it in your browser and, on the plans that include it, download it as a PDF.
The text on every page is typeset by our software, not drawn by an image model. That is a deliberate design decision: it is what keeps names spelled correctly.
Your account
Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it. One person, one account — do not share an account with people outside your household.
What you may and may not make
The full list is in the acceptable use policy, and it is enforced by automatic checks before anything is generated. In summary you may not use this service to produce:
- Anything violent, frightening, sexual or otherwise unsuitable for a young child.
- Characters, worlds or trademarks that belong to somebody else.
- Imitations of the personal style of a named living artist.
- Identity documents, certificates, invoices, tickets, contracts or medical paperwork.
- Depictions of real, identifiable people, or anything resembling a face swap.
- Content about a child whose parent or guardian has not agreed to it.
We may refuse, remove or refuse to re-generate any content that breaches this, and we may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly.
Who owns the books
You own the storybooks you make, to the extent they can be owned. We do not claim copyright over your story text or your illustrations, and we will not resell them.
On a paid plan, you may use the books you make commercially — sell printed copies, include them in a product, whatever you like. On the Free plan, books are for personal, non-commercial use only, and carry a watermark.
Note that the copyright status of AI-generated material varies between countries, and in some of them purely machine-generated work may not attract copyright protection at all. We cannot promise you an enforceable copyright; we can promise that we do not claim one ourselves.
The licence you give us
You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your story content strictly so that we can run the service for you — generate the book, save it to your library, and show it back to you. That is the whole extent of it. The licence ends when you delete the content. We do not use your content to train AI models.
About the AI
Story text and illustrations on this site are generated by artificial intelligence. AI output is unpredictable: it can be repetitive, oddly phrased, or occasionally wrong about the world. Read the book before you read it to a child — that is what the editing step is for.
Every file you download carries machine-readable metadata identifying it as AI-generated, and every book states it on the final page. See the AI disclosure.
Payment
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions in US dollars (USD) that renew automatically until cancelled. The complete billing terms are in the subscription terms, and cancellation and refunds are covered by the refund and cancellation policy. You can cancel at any time in one click.
Security of payments
The entire site, including every payment step, is served over HTTPS. Card details are collected and processed by a third-party payment processor that is PCI-DSS compliant; full card numbers are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only a payment token, the card brand and the last four digits.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Generation depends on third-party AI services that occasionally fail or slow down. If the service is unusable for a meaningful part of a month you have paid for, tell us and we will refund you — see the refund policy.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or the acceptable use policy, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the month you have paid for.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that a generated story will suit a particular child, meet a particular standard, or be free of oddities. Nothing here is educational, medical or psychological advice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.
Disputes and law
Please email us first — almost everything is solved that way, quickly. If we cannot resolve it, any dispute is governed by the law of the place where the operator of this site is resident, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand, and you may cancel before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
