Privacy Policy
Talewick is deliberately built to need almost nothing about your child. This page says exactly what we hold, why, for how long, and how to make it go away.

The short version
- We never ask for a photograph of your child, and there is no way to upload one.
- About your child, we take a first name or nickname and an age band. Nothing else.
- We never ask for a child's school, address, birthday, or any way of contacting them.
- We do not use anything you create here to train AI models.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising.
- You can delete a storybook, or your whole account, whenever you like.
Who this policy is for
This site is operated at zinedineguillodo.shop and is for adults. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. Everything below describes the relationship between this site and you, the adult account holder.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@zinedineguillodo.shop.
What we collect
Information you give us about yourself. Your email address, so that we can send you your books, receipts and password resets. If you subscribe, a payment token, the card brand and the last four digits — returned to us by the payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Information you give us for a story. The child's first name or nickname, the age band, two to four things they like, a theme, an art style, and a short written description of the hero's appearance. Optionally, a note you write yourself.
The books you make. The story text, the page illustrations and the settings used to make them, so you can come back and read them.
Basic technical information. Server logs containing IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept for security and abuse prevention. Aggregate, non-identifying usage counts so we know which art styles people actually use.
Children's information
Talewick is a service for adults that produces content about a child. It is not a service for children to use, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
The only information we hold about a child is the first name or nickname you choose to give us and an age band. We deliberately do not collect, and will refuse if offered: photographs, surnames, dates of birth, addresses, schools, or any contact details for a child. Our forms actively check for these and stop you before submission.
You provide the child's first name as their parent or guardian, or with the permission of their parent or guardian, and you confirm that on the form before a book is made. If you believe a child has given us information directly, email us and we will delete it.
Why we process it
- To write, illustrate, typeset and store the storybooks you ask for — this is the service itself.
- To take payment and send receipts, where you are on a paid plan.
- To reply to you when you email support.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce the acceptable use policy.
- To comply with law, including tax and accounting obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is: performance of our contract with you (making and storing your books, taking payment), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the service in aggregate), and legal obligation (tax records).
We do not train models on your content
The story briefs you submit, the stories you generate and the edits you make are not used as training data for any AI model, by us or by anyone else. They are sent to the generation services only to produce your book, and for no other purpose.
How long we keep it
- Storybooks and their briefs: for as long as your account exists, so you can re-read them. Delete a book and it and its brief are removed from live systems within 7 days, and from backups within 30 days.
- Account and email address: for as long as your account exists.
- Payment records: 7 years, because tax law requires it. These contain the amount, the date and the last four digits — not the story content.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Support emails: 24 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you additionally have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights — and since we neither sell personal information nor run advertising, there is nothing to opt out of.
Exercise any of these by emailing support@zinedineguillodo.shop. We will respond within 30 days and we will not charge you for it.
Deleting your data
Delete a single storybook from your library at any time, which removes its text, its illustrations and the brief that made it. Ask us to delete your account and we remove everything above, except the payment records that tax law requires us to keep.
Security
The entire site is served over HTTPS. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited and authenticated. Card details never touch our servers — they are entered directly with a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
No system is perfect. If we ever suffer a breach affecting your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
International transfers
Our hosting and generation providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful mechanism.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. See also our cookie policy and AI disclosure.
